Audacy New Orleans is seeking a vibrant and detail oriented professional to join the team as a full-time producer for WWL-AM-FM-WWL.com.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Produce a compelling, high-impact talk show on the biggest stage in the Gulf South.
• Collaborate with host and brand manager daily re: potential topics / guests.
• Schedule guests and live interviews.
• Closely observe daily news and opinion trends and share with host and brand manager.
• Write well-researched and defined topic observations in the voice of the host and tone of the station.
• Write daily host blogs from the most compelling interviews and host opinions.
• Post daily teases for the show on social media.
• Engage audience daily on social media…posting daily rewind moments..
• Edit and record sound that will enhance talk show.
• On location remote producing
• Collaborate with news/digital team re: breaking news/special events
• In studio producing when necessary.
• Interact well with live on air talent, be a problem solver and work to keep the operation within mandated FCC guidelines.
• Flexible schedule
• Able to assist on air talent in LIVE situations and minor production.
• Backup to other producers
• There is frequent collaboration weeknights and weekends in relation to big or breaking news…and in preparation for interviews or shifting the focus of the show accordingly. Should have interest in and time to observe live news events.
• Other duties as assigned by brand manager.

More About You:
• Should have a strong interest in local, national & world news.
• Be a strong consumer of compelling content in broadcasting and in the digital space.
• Strong communication skills and excellent writing skills.
• Deep connections in the community preferred.
• Able to assist on air talent in LIVE situations and minor production.

Required:
• A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
