On Air Personality/Play by Play Announcer
OverviewAudacy Buffalo's WGR 550 Sports Radio station is looking for a Part-Time On Air Personality to join the team!! WGR 550 SportsRadio brings you the latest sports talk, breaking news, interviews, game coverage, analysis and podcasts from the top personalities, hosts and reporters in Buffalo. Some responsibilities include:
• Engage daily with your audience via phone and the station's accounts on social media, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
• Conduct On-Air interviews
• Live remotes and appearances
• Assist in special promotions and programming activities

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:
• Create original content and performing live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative
• Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; managing online personality presence
• Protect the station's FCC license
• Monitor commercial logs for the airshift
• Ensure that promotions and contests are executed properly
• Operate the control board and perform production work
• Make personal appearances at station events and remote broadcasts
• Other duties as required by management
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Must be an excellent communicator with strong creative skills, a team-first mentality and a strong social brand/following
• Knowledge of the format and audience required
• Excellent on-air voice with demonstrated track record required
• Pleasant, charismatic and well-controlled voice with excellent pronunciation.
• A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of the applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
