Audacy Hartford has a unique opportunity! We are looking for an inspirational, experienced, and accomplished general sales manager to lead the culture and revenue drive in advertising efforts. You must be passionate about music, digital media, podcasts, partnerships, and innovation. The person in this role will help influence new and existing revenue growth of four (4) highly influential radio stations. Audacy Hartford is the proud home to great stations that reflect all Hartford offers. Our brands are established and highly influential in our community, featuring WTIC-AM News Talk 1080, 96.5 TIC-FM, WRCH, and WZMX. This person will also push forward our podcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms along with events and OTT sales.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for day-to-day operations and achieving revenue goals
• Effectively drive sales strategy with a direct team of 4-6 Account Executives
• Knowledge of competitive landscape, market conditions, and business trends
• Create sales opportunities utilizing all of our available platforms to drive revenue
• Assist in the overall tone and direction of the department and set department priorities
• Strong marketing, sales, digital, and data capabilities
• Influential with client relationships
• Coach and motivate talent within the sales team and attend face-to-face calls with Accounts Executives.
• Active listener, compelling communicator, creative problem solver, and solution-based mindset
• Early adopter, curious learner, culture lead
• Provide weekly revenue/pacing reports to the Market Manager/Director of Sales
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Minimum 5+ years of General Sales Manager experience in radio and/or digital, podcasting, streaming and social
• Must know how to motivate in today's changing environment, manage inventory and people, and bring new ideas to generate revenue.
• A strong background in strategic account management, sales training/leadership, pricing, and budgeting is required.
• Candidates must have a positive attitude and a drive to win
• Self-motivation is essential
• You must be goal-driven and creative, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• This position reports to the Market Manager/Director of Sales.
• A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires the use of an applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance is required
• A four-year degree is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
