Overview:
WWL Radio (105.3 FM / 870 AM) has a rare opening for a part-time board operator and studio producer to join our on-air and digital team. This role puts you inside a live broadcast environment, managing studio operations, on-air content, and call screening, while also contributing digital content to WWL.com.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Job responsibilities:
• Support the sports department by assisting with production and regularly creating on-air sports reports on weekends, with opportunities to contribute on weekdays as needed.
• You should be able to stay calm and focused in fast-moving situations, especially during breaking news, major events, and severe weather coverage.
• Be dependable, flexible, and collaborative - a strong team player who enjoys supporting a variety of host personalities and learning how different shows come together.
• Schedule call screening and studio production as assigned.
• Have curiosity, clear communication, and a proactive approach to solving problems in a live broadcast setting.
Qualifications
More About You:
Required & Preferred:
• Hands-on experience operating studio consoles for live entertainment programming and be comfortable with computer-assisted broadcast systems and social media.
• Strong writing skills are essential.
• A solid knowledge of local sports (Saints, LSU, Pelicans) and national sports (NFL, NCAA, NBA)
