Job Description
Overview

Audacy is hiring an experienced and entrepreneurial Account Executive to create new business opportunities with leading ad agencies and direct advertisers. In this role, you will leverage existing relationships with ad/marketing leaders as well as develop new relationships and act as a trusted business partner to deeply understand the client's unique company challenges and goals. The ideal candidate has a strong sales background and strong understanding of digital audio and podcasts, and an ability to creatively package scaled content for impactful client executions. A good handle on programmatic is important as the marketplace continues to develop.

Anticipated started salary range for this positoin is position is $100K to $150K. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities:
• Build strong relationships with advertisers to ensure their success and repeat business
• High Velocity Sales Call volume is a must, entertaining and overall relationship building is paramount to your success
• Proactively develop new business by using all of our advertising and marketing assets
• Continuously learning and training on new assets and marketing techniques
• Create marketing campaigns and strategically sell to advertisers
• Close business and oversee the execution of the marketing campaign and exceed client expectations
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Achieve sales objectives and goals
• Continuously build your knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, and innovations
• Lead account strategy for generating and developing business growth opportunities, drive business development, build and manage an active sales pipeline, and close new business to meet/exceed quarterly quotas.
• Drive all stages of the sales lifecycle from intro to close, including planning, preparing, and presenting custom proposals, and leading high impact meetings with qualified leads, prospects and partners.
• Understand each customer's strategic growth plans and business drivers, podcast strategy and competitive landscape, and adequately advise clients on how to build a successful podcast sponsorship program based on KPIs.
• Continuously maximize revenue growth with existing accounts and manage direct advertiser relationships to increase business, initiate special promotions and new opportunities.
• Identify market opportunities and areas for growth and improvement to share internally with leadership.
• Ability to effectively communicate product differentiation in a crowded marketplace.

Qualifications

• Proven success in selling media and digital platforms such as streaming audio and podcasts
• Ability to develop new business and manage sales with a proven track record of exceeding goals
• Thorough understanding of advertising and marketing including digital, audio, and interactive
• A creative mind to put together unique campaigns focused on solving client needs
• Strong problem solving skills - you're someone who identifies a problem as an opportunity to develop business
• Proficiency in MS Office Programs including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
• A positive attitude and a desire to continuously grow your income
• A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
