Job Description

The Adjustment and Distribution Analyst shares the overall responsibility for ensuring that successful processing of adjustment transactions (corrections to previous distributions). Additional responsibilities include assisting other departments, with data-related questions and troubleshooting. This position provides an opportunity to learn and apply ASCAP's Weighting Formula Rules through a six (6) month intensive training program. Upon successful completion of the training program the candidate will possess specialized skills that would allow them to accurately apply the complexities of ASCAP's credit calculations.

Areas of Responsibility/ Accountability:
• Perform research and calculations to ensure ASCAP members are accurately paid for past days performances due to copyright or performance changes
• Research large copyright related adjustments to ensure accuracy of intended changes
• Liaise with other departments to support timely resolution of member issues
• Review member statements and earnings history to confirm accuracy
• Review performance and copyright detail on a membership basis to identify potential errors and/or incorrect payments
• Support Adjustment & Distribution
• Team Leader to ensure successful completion of quarterly quantity and quality goals
• Support management requests for special projects

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Exceptional mathematical, analytical, and research skills
• Proficient in the knowledge and practical use of up-to-date versions of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access) with proven ability to manage high volume of data and execute complex queries
• Ability to problem-solve independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Effective communication, collaborative, and administrative skills
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Deadline driven, initiative-taker, ability to independently manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to work and interact with team members on a hybrid in-office/remote basis

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $43,500 to $43,500 and will be determined on an individualized basis depending on several factors that are unique to each candidate including geographic location (due to differences in the cost of labor), skills, education and prior relevant experience.
