Job summary
Amazon Advertising operates at the intersection of advertising and eCommerce, and offers advertisers a rich array of media solutions across Amazon's mobile and desktop websites, proprietary devices including Kindle and Fire TV, and the Amazon Programmatic Demand Side Platform. We are looking for a highly motivated Video Editor who is passionate about creating video brand commercial spots for our advertisers. This role will be making effective and creative commercials to tell stories, display products, and highlight brands. Work hard, have fun, make history.

Los Angeles, CA based role

The Video Creative Advertising team is seeking an experienced and creative video editor. The idea candidate is a storyteller at heart, both visually and narratively. Our team is focused on delivering commercial spots :15, :30, :60 seconds with animation, graphics, live action video, Voice Over and a wide range of effects. In this role, you will work alongside producers, brand creative teams, and cross functional teams. The right candidate will blend strong visual skills, creative skills, storytelling, ability to find the right musical cue or sound effects. • Work closely with Producers, Music libraries, Post Management, Creative etc. to deliver commercials that raise the creative bar. • Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to meet the demands of brands • Proactively identify opportunities for design and efficiencies • Design and influence operational best practices for editorial success • Bachelor's Degree • 5+ years relevant experience in Video Editorial • Experience editing short form content • Experience working with production houses/ networks/ brands • Experience in Adobe Premiere Environment • Experience with Music Libraries • Experience in developing editorial styles in projects • Proven problem solving, analytical, and creative skills • Ability to display complex concepts in simple, intuitive formats • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) • 5+ years of relevant experience as Video Editor.

Brand Video Studio is a Video team based within Amazon Advertising that is rooted in obsessing over our Advertiser Customers, and their video needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 + years of experience as Video Editor on Short form content or the equivalent
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Organized and with great attention to detail
• Understanding of Motion Graphics, Music Libraries, Sound Effects, and post production workflows
• Post and editorial problem-solving ability

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in various Advertising, Television, and film post production environments
• Experience with stop motion animation
• Experience with delivery of assets to studios
• Experience with variety of digital media workflows
• Knowledge of wide array of media asset types
• Experience with commercial brands and advertisers
• Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
