Want to build the future of live audio? Join Amazon's newest mobile app, Amp, where anyone can host live radio shows with the music they love. Currently in beta in the US, Amp's evolving how people discover and share music. Create a show, call-in, or bop along to some tunes – no subscription, additional hardware, or editing needed.

As part of an agile team, you will be working in a startup atmosphere while being able to leverage the resources of a Fortune-500 company. Amp is on the bleeding-edge of consumer-facing products, where every team member is a critical voice in the decision-making process. We build systems that will be distributed around the world, spanning mobile apps and voice-forward experiences on Amazon Echo devices, powered by Alexa. Amp products support our mission of delivering audio entertainment in new and exciting ways that creators and listeners will love.

The Amp team is looking for team members across a variety of functions, including software engineering/development, product, marketing, design, and more. Come make history, as we expand and launch Amp for millions of listeners.

As a senior program manager, you will have the opportunity to lead highly impactful programs and engage not only with cross-functional teams within Amazon Music, but also with other Amazon orgs such as Alexa, to implement your program strategy and drive execution. You will collaborate with business and engineering teams to drive program planning. You will make strong business cases for project prioritization and investment. You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, make tradeoffs, balance the business needs versus execution speed and inspire risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit. Responsibilities:
• Drive product planning and operations
• Have the ability to work independently in a broad array of environments
• Manage cross-functional project teams, planning and organizing, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders
• Collaborate with product, design, business, and engineering on roadmap prioritization
• Build cross-team mechanisms for communicating product priorities and receiving input from other senior leaders
• Articulate program goals, desired outcomes, risks/issues, and mitigation plan clearly
• Support and enhance existing products with thoughtful and measurable impact

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience in program or project management
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or equivalent degree
• Program/Project Management Certification
• Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean
• Ability to challenge the status quo and questioning existing practices
• Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and work cross-functionally to align and solve shared problems
• Comfortable and competent to provide metrics inputs to various reporting decks; communicate key performance indicators to stakeholders/sr. leaders- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage cross functional projects, dependencies and bottlenecks.
• Experience using problem solving and analytical skills to solve business problems and drive process improvements
• Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with tight deadlines and high ambiguity
