We are looking for a strategic and analytical Business Affairs Manager to join the Amazon Music team. Based in London or New York, we're looking for a candidate with experience negotiating complex licence agreements with music publishers and collection societies. This externally-facing role will be responsible for securing new content and additional rights, proactively performing analytic deep dives across a variety of performance indicators and providing strategic support to enable new business initiatives. The role requires a data-driven critical thinker who has an attention to detail, an ability to juggle multiple priorities and thrives in a fast-paced, international setting that is constantly evolving. In addition, the candidate will be expected to leverage strong negotiating and interpersonal skills in order to partner effectively across internal divisions and with external partners.

Key job responsibilities
• Build and manage relationships with external partners, including music publishers and collection societies.
• Negotiate licence agreements with partners and expand existing agreements as needed.
• Perform analysis to quantify the impact of royalty models, and other terms that are negotiated with rightsholders.
• Collaborate with the legal team to review contractual terms and conditions relating to content licensing agreements.
• Partner with internal Finance/Content Analytics teams to help continuously improve the internal tools, processes and models that are used to evaluate our deal terms across service tiers and territories.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure contractual reporting and administration obligations are met.
• Monitor the competitive landscape to help inform Amazon Music's strategic priorities and expansion opportunities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience negotiating complex agreements with a firm understanding of legal terminology and reasoning
- Experience in a legal, business affairs or business development role in digital music or media, with a good understanding of music publishing rights
- Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and make business recommendations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- J.D., or MBA
- Experience in content negotiation, acquisition or business development
- Experience in writing detailed and data-supported documents
- Experience working with product and tech teams
- Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Ability to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
