We are seeking an ambitious Principal Product Manager-Tech to join our Search team.

A day in the life
As a Principal Product Manager-Tech, you will help define and build new Amazon Music features that make it easier for customers to discover and fall in love with music. At Amazon Music, product managers are the CEOs of the features they build and closely collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, Design, and more, to set strategy for, define, design, and directly manage all aspects of the customer experience. A successful candidate will be customer obsessed, highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple products and applications that customers love.

About the team
The Amazon Music Search team is responsible for the development and operation of a set of services that perform federated search across multiple sources of first and second party data. We collaborate closely with the various Amazon Music client teams and other partners to continuously improve the search experience across all platforms, including visual apps and Amazon Music on Alexa.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 8+ years of technical product management, program management or engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience with end to end product delivery
• Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
• Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Bachelor's Degree
• Track record of achievements. You've shipped cool, customer-centric stuff that has moved the needle on key business & customer metrics.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or master's degree
• Excellent customer intuition: You obsess about customers and can translate customer needs into crisp, detailed product requirements.
• Comfortable with ambiguous problems: We are charting new territories and need someone who can help us find our way to a great customer experience
• Strong ownership and bias for action. One of your favorite things to do as a product manager is to launch, learn and iterate. You know what matters most to customers and can simplify product requirements to deliver benefits to customers quickly.
• Data-centric and analytical. You have experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value and to develop your product strategy.
• Technical fluency; ability to understand and discuss architectural concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members
• Strong collaboration skills. You have a proven ability to work across functions and across marketplaces to influence senior leaders. You quickly earn the trust of people you work with. People enjoy and have fun working with you.
