Job Description
We believe that games are the future of entertainment. The culture that began with arcades and classic consoles will grow into a future where everyone is a gamer and every gamer can create, compete, collaborate and connect with others at massive scales. If you share our beliefs, come join us. At Amazon Games, you'll have the power of Amazon Web Services' cloud, the reach of Twitch's audience, the capability of Amazon's Lumberyard engine, and our digital and physical media publishing infrastructure available as raw material to forge a future filled with amazing experiences for players, broadcasters and creators.
Amazon Games is looking for a full time Software Development Engineer, with strong talent and expertise in building tools/automation that spans multiple areas of technology. You'll have the freedom (and encouragement) to experiment and innovate, to improve existing processes and invent new ones, and not be limited by ''that's not how we do things here.'' You'll have an opportunity to work on game experiences that push the boundaries of technology. You'll have a tangible impact on our games, our business and -- most importantly -- our customers. And you'll have the satisfaction of being able to look back and say you were a key contributor to something special from its earliest stages.
The Team
We're a platform team building services, tools, and libraries to enable game teams to create world-class test automation. Our portfolio is growing rapidly in advancing the discipline of games QA, and we're looking for passionate and talented engineers to help us grow even faster.
Your Role
We are looking for a talented and creative engineer with a passion for solving complex problems at every stage of our customers' process. You're a natural problem solver with a deep understanding of distributed systems and are comfortable working across the entire stack. You will have ownership delivering solutions to ambiguous problems with cutting-edge serverless technologies, working directly with customers from design to deployment and operations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
