Amazon Games is seeking a bilingual Localization Manager to help us bring Japanese games to a global audience. Amazon is all in on games. A day in the life
Amazon Games Localization wants Amazon gaming customers around the world to have immersive and exciting experiences in their preferred languages, no matter their country or locale. Our goal is for our translations to be as good as or better than the original source material. This ambitious goal requires us to think globally from the start and put processes in place that enable creative, high-quality localization at scale.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Japanese language fluency, especially around the domain of online games
• English language fluency, especially around the domain of online games
• 4+ years of experience as a Localization Manager or Producer
• Japanese Standard Time-based work day

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Deep understanding of the unique challenges of localizing and publishing massively-multiplayer online games and games-as-a-service
• Passion for creative translation that speaks to gamers
• Excellent communicator able to influence different groups in order to achieve business goals
• Understanding of modern game development, localization, and publishing practices
• Understanding of the unique challenges of localizing and publishing massively-multiplayer online games and games-as-a-service
• Sharp attention to detail
• Willingness to continually improve the effectiveness and quality of processes
• Ability to communicate with and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve cross-team goals
• Experience working with enterprise-level Translation Management Systems such as memoQ (preferred), Trados, or XLOC
• Experience working in Jira and Confluence
• Korean language fluency
