Job Description
Amazon Games is seeking a highly talented and motivated Head of Technical Program Management to join our Live Operations team in Southern California. In this role you will lead and grow a team of Technical Program Managers to help facilitate internal development as well as support and engage external development partners.

You will drive a community of practice across the Live Operations group, manage both career growth as well as team growth. The ideal candidate will have great communication and prioritization skills with a clear focus on providing the best possible customer experience. The ability to be self-directed, while still providing excellent service to partners, is critical.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage a team of TPMs, provide sponsorship and nurture their career growth.
- Create a Community of Practice inside the TPM community at AGS.
- Create mechanisms that provide internal teams success towards development as well as communication to stakeholders effectively.
- Ensure communication channels across various teams work effectively.
- Create and operate continuous improvement processes that guide operational excellence.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years game industry experience.
- 6+ years of technical/application project management experience driving software development, testing, deployment, and support teams.
- 5+ years of managing TPMs, Technical Producers or other program management teams.
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical leadership role launching 2+ AAA titles.
- Understanding of live services and the complexities of running a live product.
- Passion and broad knowledge of project management and product process.
- Working knowledge of CSS, HMTL, JavaScript, Lambda and Python as well as an understanding of AWS systems.
- Demonstrated experience with stakeholder management, project management, and leading through influence
- Experience with a wide variety of development practices including waterfall, scrum/agile delivery models, etc.
- Strong cross-team collaboration skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $155,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $302,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
