Your Mission

Welcome to Activision Mobile. We're a new in-house studio, dedicated to developing the best AAA mobile games in the world.
Our first project is a new AAA mobile title in the Call of Duty franchise and we're looking for great talent from mobile, console and PC backgrounds passionate about their work, who share our belief in what AAA experiences on mobile can and should be. Your Profile

The UX Designer, Mobile will be responsible for creating UX flows and user experiences of a new Mobile hit in all aspects and phases of production.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
• Create UX designs to meet design and business goals
• Work closely with game leads and designers across multiple studio locations to create an exceptional overall user experience throughout the game
• Creation of clear UX prototypes, documentation and style guides
• Work closely with UI artists and UI engineers across multiple studios to deliver the best possible user experience while staying within technical requirements
• Review and process consumer and stakeholder feedback in order to refine the UX to best-in-class standards
• Study competitive products and understand what works and what doesn't in their UI and UX implementations
• Secure and interface with contractors as needed to supplement team's UX capabilities in order to meet business goals

Minimum Requirements:
• 3+ years of practical work experience in the field, including multiple successful mobile games or extensive live game development
• Has strong verbal, written and illustrative communication skills with ability to align teams and stakeholders against a strong and consistent vision
• Takes and understands feedback well from multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Meets deadlines and handles multiple tasks and/or priorities like a seasoned pro
• You have worked with and have solid understanding of UCD methodologies
• Dedicated in learning and developing your skills to the next level
• You are a creative person with a real passion for games
• A portfolio demonstrating all aspects of your skill is required

COVID-19 Hiring Update: While our Mobile Studio is based in Santa Monica, CA, we've transitioned to a work-from-home model and we're continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We understand each person's circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.

Activision Mobile is an emerging team within Activision Publishing focusing on both publishing and live-operations for Call of Duty Mobile along with our new in-house studio dedicated to the development of AAA mobile titles. Designed around the singular focus of creating the best games in our space, ours is a mobile studio like no other. Developing in collaboration with Activision studios around the world, work on a new AAA mobile game in the Call of Duty franchise has begun.
