Sr. Operations Coordinator

Job Description

Activision's User Research Center is looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Sr. Operations Coordinator with a passion for technology, problem-solving, and innovative thinking. The Sr. Operations Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining research labs used to support User Research and Global Player Insights studies conducted both remotely and on-site at the Activision User Research Center in Woodland Hills, CA.

This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, Activision User Research Center. Ideal candidates for this role exhibit experience and leadership skills in IT Support, A/V Support, Computer Repair, Customer Service, and/or Technology Operations roles.

Responsibilities:
• Perform setup, deployment, maintenance, and repair of research computing labs in accordance with research study requirements
• Convert/transcode playtest video footage for archival storage
• Monitor playtest sessions to ensure output is within expected parameters
• Keep labs clean and organized
• Confirm study schedules and needs with Research and Global Player Insights staff
• Record and update hardware assets and lab information in tracking software
• This role may be asked to assist in recruitment drives at colleges and select trade shows
• This role may be asked to help fill in for a study, being asked to participate and provide feedback on the research project in these situations

Qualifications:
• 5+ years working in Information Technology support and/or maintenance leadership roles
• Broad and detailed understanding of computer networking technologies
• Strong familiarity with streaming software and plugins (particularly OBS Studio)
• Firm understanding of A/V equipment (microphones, mixing boards, EQ)
• Strong familiarity with Console (PlayStation, XBOX), PC, and mobile gaming technologies
• Certification(s) (A+, ITF+, Network+, CCNET, CCT, CTS, Google IT Support Professional) a plus
• Must be highly skilled with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Strong interpersonal communication (both written and verbal)
• Adaptable and quick learner that enjoys tackling a large variety of problems
• Should be well versed in Activision's titles; passion for gaming a plus
