Your Mission
Activision Blizzard, publisher of the hit franchises Call of Duty, Diablo, Candy Crush, and World of Warcraft, is looking for a passionate application security engineer to join our Activision Blizzard King (ABK) Security Engineering team. If you are an avid gamer with a security and development background, come be a part of our team. The Senior Application Security Engineer will be key in helping our talented and creative developers secure our application ecosystems across the enterprise. This role reports into the Senior Director of ABK's Trust Center and maintains strong relationships with all line-of-business technology groups. You will work closely with several key individuals and teams and will be part of a talented team of security engineers who demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security across our enterprise.

Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities
• Engineer, implement, and configure application security tooling
• Work with development teams to connect their operating environments to security tools
• Identify and define application security requirements
• Integrate security testing tools to existing software lifecycle
• Serve as the technical SME on project work
• Develop technical solutions, new security tools/scripts to automate repeatable tasks
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
• Identify assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions to further application security
• Mentor other team members through technical challenges

Player Profile
Minimum Requirements
• 5 or more years' experience in software development, operations, security, or a combination
• Experience in a programming or scripting language (e.g., C/C++/C#, python, Java, PowerShell)
• Working knowledge of best practices for securing code repositories
• Strong familiarity with build technologies, code repositories, and CI/CD pipeline processes
• Familiarity with security testing techniques
• Ability to problem solve independently and collaborate as a team to solve complex problems
• Knowledge of industry best practices for foundational security elements and application security best practices
• Knowledge of platforms like Google Cloud, AWS, Azure
• Experience leading technical projects

Extra Points
• Experience in game development or operations
• Proven work experience as an application security engineer or information security engineer
• Working knowledge of security testing tools (e.g., DAST, SAST, SCA, and/or IAST)
• Proven experience in finding vulnerabilities and weaknesses in code and systems
• Knowledge of DevOps
• Knowledge of containerization software: Docker, Kubernetes
• Past experience presenting at security conferences
• Publicly credited for identifying a vulnerability

In the US, the standard base pay range for this role is $101,000.00 - $186,754.00 Annual. This base pay range is for the US and is not applicable to locations outside of the US Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
