As a Director, HRBP, you would be responsible for developing strong relationships with your ABC News client groups and delivering integrated and inclusive HR thought-leadership in areas such as: DE&I and Culture, Strategy Development, Organization Design, Talent Management, Organization & Employee Effectiveness, Change & Transition Management, and Functional HR Integration. Responsibilities:
The Director, HRBP will serve as an HR executive responsible for leading, coaching, developing and inspiring a team of HRBPs. The role will:
• Establish and maintain an intimate understanding of your clients' organizations and the business, in the interest of building effective and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients, at all levels of the organization.
• Plan and lead organization design projects to streamline and implement new structures, roles and/or processes that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.
• Proactively assess business and organizational performance to recommend and drive action through a consultative, ''influence without authority'' approach.
• Coach business leaders on HR policies and processes, including talent planning, learning and development, and performance management to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.
• Provide expert advice and counsel to leaders on all organization and human resources issues.
• Develop and implement appropriate change management plans as required by the business
• Drive diversity, equity and inclusion within the organization, personally and programmatically
• Assess organizational performance systemically, defining talent gaps and proposing HR solutions that support client business objectives.
• Coach business leaders on key organizational and management issues.
• Plan and facilitate work sessions to develop business strategies (i.e. vision, mission, value, objectives) that help support organizational focus, efficiency, speed, and business results.
• Develop and execute a lifecycle approach to talent management focused on forecasting, staffing, on-boarding, development, performance management, career / succession planning, talent movement and retention, leveraging rigorous workforce analytics and insights.
• Use understanding of individual and organizational dynamics to facilitate talent movement into and throughout the organization.
• Develop thoughtful, integrated approaches to promote diversity and inclusion in talent attraction, development, and retention.
• Assess employee training and development needs based on business strategy in order to help close gaps between current and future skill sets.
• Lead and develop a team of HR Business Partners
Basic Qualifications:
• 10-12+ years of progressive leadership experience in HR working in dynamic environments, and
the proven ability and interest to be hands-on as needed.
• Experience in a managerial/leadership role in a dynamic environment, with specific experience in strategy development (preferred), organizational design, talent management and change management.
• Director level involvement with senior business executives (e.g. EVP/SVP), and ability to strongly Influence
• Self-motivated, demonstrating curiosity about the business and organization overall with a desire to uplevel the partnership with the teams they support.
• Previous experience working closely in high growth and fast transformation environments is preferred. Demonstrated passion for production, content and entertainment is encouraged.
• Having successfully led cross functional initiatives across a variety of disciplines: culture, building, organizational development, talent management, and inclusion and diversity is ideal.
• Comfort leading through change, ambiguity and high periods of growth.
• Moves quickly, with regular communication and visible progress against objectives.
• Effectively builds partnerships and influences stakeholders and decision-making at all levels of a complex organization.
• Communicates in clear and compelling ways (written/verbal) and adapts appropriately for the environment.
• Convey messages in a way that is relatable and sparks action in others. Utilize data to enhance the business case.
• Demonstrates agility and flexibility to meet the needs of the business and employees.
• Open to new ideas to advance work and experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience as an HRBP directly supporting clients in union and non-union environments
• Project Management experience leading PMO's
• Advanced data and analytics capabilities, including strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience working in a large, corporate, matrixed environment
Education
• MBA or Master's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or a business-related field
