Associate Producer, The View

Job Description

The View is hiring an Associate Producer to work with the Research Team. This position will work with Producers to research and fact check Hot Topics notes, Co-Host/Guests questions and production elements for broadcast.

Responsibilities:
• Fact check copy/Inews for Hot Topics (intros, outros, questions, snipes, plugs, etc)
• Check banners and graphics for errors, spelling issues, etc.
• Pull research for Co-Hosts to assist Hot Top producers.
• Fact check during live show for any misstatements or errors by Co-Hosts or guests.
• Fact check segment producers' scripts and teases.

Basic Qualifications:
• 2-3 years experience in a television news/politics or talk show setting
• Strong research and writing skills are a must with ability to work under extreme deadlines
• Proven ability to make editorial judgments as well as an overall understanding of news programs
• Strong experience with various research/information banks including social media, press briefing, newspapers, periodicals, etc
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
