Associate Producer, Booking – ABC News Live (ABC News)

Do you want to join the dedicated team that brings America the #1 streaming news channel? ABC News Live has an opening for an Associate Producer with their Booking team.

Responsibilities:
• Conducting guest research and vetting
• Pitching guest segments
• Securing bookings for primary guests and contributors to feature on various ABC News Live programs
• Conducting preliminary interviews with potential guests
• Managing and updating the guest database
• Welcoming guests and preparing them for in-studio segments
• Assisting with guest check-ins in the control room

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of two years of experience in a fast-paced news environment or in a similar live broadcast or streaming channel.
• Strong editorial judgment along with the ability to communicate clearly, multi-task and prioritize.
• Ability to take initiative, but also work collaboratively
• Flexible enough to work in a start-up environment, but also understand and work with existing systems in the broadcast side of ABC News.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with telvesion production including control room experience, booking, writing and editing.
• Experience with iNews and Avid

Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $56,400 to $77,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
