Administrative Assistant, Comedy Development (ABC)
ABC seeks a qualified candidate for an Administrative Assistant to support a VP and a Director in Comedy Development. The ideal candidate for this role is proactive, organized, efficient, and capable of achieving amazing results in a very fast-paced and constantly changing environment. Responsibilities:
• Maintain calendar, answer busy phones, and handle travel arrangements
• Create, maintain, and organize files, contracts, and other documentation
• Prepare materials/presentations for internal/external meetings
• Update and maintain a variety of departmental documents, status reports and charts/tracking daily.
• Contribute notes and offer creative feedback on pitches, story documents, outlines, or scripts
• Handle client contact list and correspondence with clients
• Attend meetings, take notes, and track action items
• Submit expense reports and purchasing requests for supplies
• Provide backup support for other department executives and assistants as needed
Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 1 year of previous Network, Studio, Production or Agency related television experience in a similar role
• Passion for television and the desire for a career in TV development
• Strong interest in comedy and knowledge of the comedy TV landscape
• Willingness to work overtime with short notice
• Must be a critical thinker and solutions oriented
• Ability to anticipate needs and problem solve for them without specific direction
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail while handling multiple simultaneous projects under deadline pressure
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills – collaboration skills are essential
• A 'can-do' attitude, nothing is too large or too small, and the ability to work effectively under pressure
• Capacity to engage professionally with associates and managers at every level
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs/Spreadsheets, and Gmail.
• Ability to problem solve and a relentless pursuit of better practices
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years of prior experience working in a support role at a Network, Agency, or production company
• Existing knowledge of the television business and industry experience
• SAP & Concur experience
Preferred Education:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
