Participations Accounting Associate

Job Description

A24 is looking for a Participations Accounting Associate to create and distribute reporting to external partners for film and TV projects.

This is a hybrid position, and we are open to candidates who are located in either New York or Los Angeles (offices in Manhattan and West Hollywood, respectively).

Responsibilities:
• Manage, prepare, and deliver performance statements based on contractual terms
• Effectively communicate to discuss and resolve inquiries from talent representatives and production partners
• Analyze and interpret production and distribution contracts for contingent compensation
• Work closely with internal teams to evaluate agreements and provide future royalty estimates based on individual projects' ongoing performance
• Provide ongoing feedback to internal teams to develop best practices for future dealmaking and reporting
• Manage film and TV participation statement audits
• Work with the team to implement efficient processes throughout continued company growth
• Assist with yearly financial audit
• Manage ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in accounting or related field
• Ability to analyze and interpret legal agreements
• Motivated self-starter skilled in multitasking, time management, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Advanced level of Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Humble, diligent and resourceful
• Additionally, experience with back-end participations calculation, reporting and forecasting is highly preferred

Our target base salary for this role is between $100,000 and $130,000. Actual starting pay within the range will depend on various considerations, including: work experience, skills, specializations, and training. We do not use formal job titles internally and similarly named positions may have different compensation levels. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, including both cash and equity components, competitive healthcare, as well as other employee benefits.
