This is where we produce, transform, broadcast and distribute content as well as run the technical infrastructure for the Media Supply chain. We are an energetic team that fulfills the business objectives within a thriving dynamic industry. Developing new solutions to continually improve the user experience of our customers, consumers and colleagues is our mandate. If you have the determination and aptitude we are seeking for a role in this challenging and rewarding business and are eager to work for a department that sets the standard for our industry, then we look forward to speaking with you!

The Producer is an experienced television professional with a deep understanding of factual, reality and scripted content; adept at versioning and mastering for linear broadcast and global distribution. In order to be a successful contributor, the Producer needs to be highly organized and agile, proficient at juggling multiple assignments and balancing the competing demands of the creative process and stressors such as late-arriving materials, shifting priorities and ad hoc requests.

The Producer is responsible for versioning and preparing content across A+E Networks' diverse and exciting portfolio. You will work with scripted, non-scripted, factual, reality and live programming, and must understand how storytelling and narrative thread apply to each of these distinctive genres in order to preserve the integrity of the program content throughout the versioning and mastering process for our linear broadcast platforms and global distribution. This role also contributes to departmental initiatives as a subject matter expert (SME) when required.

The Producer reports to one of our Supervising Producers based in our Stamford, CT facility. While based in Stamford, this Producer will likely begin her/his tenure with us by working from home as per current Company practice and will likely transition to a hybrid on-site/remote work model at a future date. Candidates must have suitable bandwidth at home to stream video and work successfully on our business platforms.

You will collaborate with our technical and operations teams, and have exposure to all the inner workings of what it takes to get our content out the door and in front of the eyes of the world. We will provide challenges for your creative spirit as we embrace new technological advances to producing and delivering award-winning content across our global markets.

The Producer is an energetic and collaborative team player who enjoys new challenges. You hold yourself accountable for success with minimal supervision, and prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, highly changeable environment. You adapt quickly to rapidly-changing priorities and take a forward-thinking conscientious approach to your work and contributing to the accomplishments of the team. You are nimble, resilient and comfortable working on diverse content across our brand portfolio.

Communication skills – your written and verbal communication is clear, tactful and professional. You can provide comprehensive, detailed guidance to editors working on-site or remotely, empowering them to quickly and successfully execute upon creative and technical instructions. You welcome and encourage feedback; are able to confidently consider and apply creative input; and provide thoughtful, kind feedback and insights to others in the interest of improving business processes and relationships.
Organizational skills – you understand that organization and preparation are cornerstones of creativity, and proactively prepare your edit sessions to maximize efficiency and enhance the creative process of working with your editor. You're able to multi-task, pivot quickly, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment while protecting the quality and integrity of your work.

Technical knowledge – you possess a firm understanding of the production/post production process used to create non-fiction program content, and can apply your industry expertise to resolve problems and avoid risk. You are familiar with common video file formats and standards; audio mixing and stem creation; closed captions; and the process of encoding and delivering file-based media assets. You are comfortable with related technology including nonlinear editing platforms such as Avid Media Composer and Premiere Pro; Adobe Creative Suite; and Media Asset Management (MAM) systems.
