Work Locations: With the exception of some select roles that have in-office requirements, A+E Networks operates on a flexible model that allows for remote, hybrid or full time in office work (in certain locales).

Production Operations and Engineering consists of a wide range of media centric roles. We are responsible for managing the entire life cycle of A+E's programming. Job Description

A+E's Content Operations team is a community of collaborative production, technical, and media operation professionals. This position of Manager, Title Readiness, Content Operations is a unique role that melds Operations, Technical, Editorial, and Producing skillsets.
Our team is seeking an individual with those outlined skills, as well as someone who embraces change and knowledge expansion This individual will be responsible for ensuring all media essence, not limited to audio, video, localized components, metadata, VDS, graphics, scripts, and closed caption files are properly preserved and stored in our cloud upholding our network standards

In this role, monitoring and advising of new industry standards, as well as new technical specifications will be a key strength. This role should be envisioned as a multi-platform, multi-media specialist. Your skills will be utilized to curate and ensure standardization of metadata, media and ancillary materials, to secure assets as ready for monetization to multiple digital, linear, and syndicated end points.

The Manager will be responsible for daily oversight of titles targeted for distribution to specific partner/s, with a mindful approach to timelines, operational resources, and overall readiness to ensure SLA's and deadlines are met. The cloud archive requires continual maintenance, archival of new assets and elements, review and data improvements, and cleanup.

Everything is in the cloud or will be soon! And as such, a big part of Title Readiness is cloud management. This will require tracking and troubleshooting source files against metadata; cleanup and removal of outdated or duplicate assets and confirming validation errors are reconciled in a timely manner. Communicating remediation needs and timelines to key stakeholders will also be critical to this workflow. Escalate issues and/or risk immediately where resolution extends expected SLA. Identify solutions quickly, ensuring all parties involved are working to resolve promptly. Understand quick turnarounds and tight deadlines. Strong project management experience and the ability to juggle multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced environment. Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity. The role will require someone who is able to pivot with the needs of the business and apply their ingenuity, industry knowledge and creativity to refine workflows, while also working closely with content providers to understand their needs. MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Will work with various content management and tracking systems
• Independently initiate and maintain communication with other team members to ensure deliveries are made on time and to technical specifications
• Liaise to key stakeholders and maintain communication to ensure that fixes and rush projects are done and delivered in a timely manner.
• Proactively troubleshoot audio/video issues and apply industry knowledge to meet high technical standards.
• Maintain an appropriate remote workspace that allows for maximum attention and concentration on required content, along with a robust internet connection capable of downloading large files at fast speeds.
• Utilization of our internal systems for delivery of content and updating related metadata.
• Participate in tracking delivery schedules and key dates for delivery.
• Participate in company efforts related to metadata governance and help identify changes to overall metadata structures that would improve distribution efforts.

YOUR STORY:

The ideal candidate is a creative-technical thinker and a proactive problem-solver. You are highly proficient in all aspects of audio/video production and fluent in technical specifications with an excellent understanding metadata uses, importance, and standards. An enthusiastic and inquisitive person with a passion and extensive knowledge of production, editorial, quality control, cloud practices, archival processes, file formats, and distribution workflows.

Strong time management skills and the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities are among your superpowers. Proactive work ethic while maintaining a keen focus on accuracy in a detailed oriented workflow a must, a positive attitude with a desire to excel in a team-oriented culture and a passion for new technology.
• Minimum 5 years total of Media Content Operations with minimum of 2 years Metadata Management expertise.
• Quality control, production, editorial, producing, and editing experience.
• Extensive knowledge of audio and video codecs, formats, framerates, and standards conversions.
• Experience working with archive and cataloging systems for video content, including CMS, DAM and/or MAM systems, to organize files and build consistent metadata.
• Experience using Adobe Creative cloud, including Adobe Premiere and Media Encoder.
• Knowledge of Closed Caption, sub-title files, forced narratives
• Has the capabilities to troubleshoot and diagnose problematic files or formatting issues and communicate to team and editors.
• Good communication, collaboration, team building, and time-management skills.
• A solid, remote working environment with good internet.

Compensation

Annual Pay Range: $97,125 - $139,000

Annual Incentive Target: 12.50%
