Job Description
The Content Lead(s) for Category 6 Media/Six West Media is a creative, collaborative thinker and supervising producer who manages a portion of the group's 250+ hour production and post-production slate of unscripted series and specials, reporting to the VP of Production and Development. The role will also entail providing development support as needed and as assigned by the VP of Production and Development.
This role is for someone who is a problem solver and can effectively manage teams with both different skill sets and experience levels. The Content Lead has a specialty in particular programming (eg Lifestyle, Documentary, Crime, History, etc.) and must be able to creatively and tactically help bring projects from concept through to completion and delivery. This person must have experience in all aspects of production including creative, legal, insurance, logistics, post and production and post technology.

Creative Content Lead, Production and Post, Category 6/Six West Media (Unscripted)
Production
• Ensure consistency, reduction of risk, and successful delivery to internal and external partners by supervising Showrunners and Producers on Production and Post Production needs for series and specials
• Supervise the staffing of key team members including Showrunners and other senior positions
• Help guide the creative team in executing against the special or series' creative promise
• Interface with network clients throughout production process to ensure network's creative notes and vision are executed
• Coordinate with Ad Sales, Marketing, Social, Press and Partnerships teams to provide necessary information and materials for the development and generation of show integrations and various promotional and financial initiatives.
• Supervise the creation of content for brand Integrations in a series and ensure that the content is shot, edited, and gets approved for each show.
• Work closely with Production Management to maintain high editorial standards within budget and schedule requirements.
• Work with Producers to ensure proper vetting of sources and fact checking
• Supervise and ensure implementation of all Standards & Practices and Legal notes
• Act as point person for network departments including: Program Acquisitions, Promos, Short form, Publicity, Press needs
• Showrun/Produce as needed
Post Production
• Help guide creative content during post which may include screening, giving notes, and writing
• Work with Post Supervision and logistical teams on shoot plans and Post plans
• Work with Graphics companies to develop, design and deliver show specific titles and packages
• Work with the Music Group to develop, compose and design signature sounds for each show.
• Ensure timely delivery of cuts to Network
• Help determine and maintain Post schedule for unscripted series and specials
• Help in hiring of Post Production staff including Editors, Assistant Editors, Post Supervisors, etc.
• Help oversee final file delivery as well as paper deliverables and QC notes
Development
• Research, write and develop pitches for potential clients
• Act as point person between Category 6 Media/Six West Media and external writers/researchers as needed
• Help establish timelines and deliverables for development projects and oversee those deliveries
• Work with Production Management on budgeting and scheduling potential series and specials
YOUR STORY:
• BA/BS Degree.
• Must have 15+ years experience in unscripted/documentary television production and post, including all creative and business aspects.
• Experience working on an unscripted/documentary development is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Candidate must have the ability to take direction from more than one individual, work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Must have experience 5+ years overseeing and building a production team, including ability to manage, give direction to and prioritize for a team.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners and suppliers.
• Must be a skilled writer, who can work quickly under a deadline.
• Experience working with talent agents/agencies a plus
• Passion for TV and pop culture.
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a small team.
Compensation
Annual Pay Range: $146,941 - $209,876
Annual Incentive Target: 20.00%
The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the
minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will
be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills,
