The Job

House of Highlights is a key part of the Bleacher Report/Turner Sports portfolio, representing one of the most influential media brands for the Gen-Z audience. With over 45 Million followers, HoH is the heartbeat of the Gen Z sports fan, who gravitate to the brand because of its authentic voice which remains celebratory, relatable and inclusive. Everything HoH does -- from the original content we create, to our collaborations with influencers and brands, to the viral clips we curate from across the world -- aligns with these 3 core brand pillars, and it has created a connection with fans that feels more like a close friend than an inaccessible brand or publisher.

House of Highlights' Social Programming Team is responsible for curating, sourcing, evaluating, captioning, and posting all content that appears on House of Highlights' social handles. They are the ultimate decision-makers about what gets posted and when, and what type of content performs well. They are the experts on House of Highlights' voice and audience. This group assists in ideation for original content, and plays a part in the sales process by helping vet creative ideas and execute sold campaigns. They provide guidance on content/programming plans around tentpole events, constantly sourcing viral UGC, and are responsible for social community management and engagement (DMs, comments section, etc.)

We are seeking an HoH Social Programming Intern to be an integral part of the Social Programming team, getting exposure to the daily operations of programming one of the biggest sports media channels in the world, with opportunities to create content and lead new platform experimentation. This role will have a specific focus on TikTok, so we're looking for a TikTok native and expert to jump two feet in.

The Daily
• Discover and curate social content that aligns with the House of Highlight brand pillars and engages with the Gen Z audience
• Work closely with other programmers to check copy and properly distribute content
• Collaborate with other programming groups to align on voice and ensure differentiation across other media outlets
• Provide innovative ideas to grow our TikTok following and lean in heavily

The Essentials
• Social media is your second language
• Deep knowledge and passion across all social media platforms, particularly TikTok, Youtube and Instagram
• Ability to do baseline photo and video editing
• Real familiarity with House of Highlights brand, voice and mission
• Proactive, not afraid to pitch ideas and break the status quo
• Team player, can take constructive criticism
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and own projects
• Willing and able to work night and weekend hours

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6- August 12; must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40hours/week) designed to work around class schedule
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
