Job Description
This internship will be located in the Atlanta area. The selected intern will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager's in office schedule.The TNT Sports Design team creates the on-air graphics and visual systems that bring some of the biggest moments in live sports to life, supporting properties across NHL, MLB, March Madness, Roland Garros, College Football, Unrivaled, NASCAR and more. As a Design Intern, you'll assist in the creation, organization, and delivery of broadcast graphics, gaining hands-on experience with motion graphics workflows, insert graphics, and the tools used in live sports production. You'll collaborate closely with designers, producers, and editors while learning how creative concepts move from idea to execution in a fast-paced broadcast environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of the team shaping the fan experience and elevating WBD's sports storytelling on air.
Your Role Accountabilities
• Learn how to prepare and organize team and sponsor logos in multiple formats.
• Gain experience editing player images, including cutouts, resizing, and formatting.
• Assist with organizing and cleaning up After Effects projects from outside vendors.
• Help build and maintain spreadsheets that track production assets and versioning.
• Use InDesign to create and update style guides with thumbnails, filenames, and descriptions.
• Practice quality control by checking final assets for accuracy, technical specs, and branding consistency.
• (If ready) Take the lead on billboard bed versioning and delivering AE files for editing.
Qualifications & Experience
• Basic understanding of graphic design principles (composition, typography, color).
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Interest in learning motion graphics workflows and familiarity with After Effects (beginner level is fine).
• Strong organizational skills and comfort working with versioning, file naming, and asset management.
• High attention to detail, especially when checking assets for accuracy, branding consistency, and technical specs.
• Ability to work collaboratively, take direction, and communicate clearly in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in sports and/or live broadcast production.
• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
• Must be a rising Junior or Senior (18 years or older)
• Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above cumulative GPA)
• Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Prior experience cutting out images, prepping graphics, or working with layered Photoshop files.
• Basic experience in After Effects, even at a classroom level (importing assets, rendering, simple edits).
• Familiarity with spreadsheets or asset trackers (Google Sheets, Excel).
• Experience creating or maintaining style guides or libraries.
• Knowledge of broadcast graphics, sports branding, or motion design trends.
What to know before applying:
• The duration of the program is 10 weeks
• Program dates:
• Start Date: January 26th
• End Date: April 17th
• Interns will be expected to work 16-24 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
• Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
• Interviewing will take place from November through Mid December. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.
