The Daily

As a Data Strategy & Insights Intern, you will:

The Turner Sports Data Strategy & Insights team is focused on understanding of sports fans through data and using these fan insights to deliver the best content on the best platforms. We also provide actionable insights to help key business stakeholders and partners to make the best decisions on how we create, market, and distribute our content to delight fans. We are looking for a self-starter who's collaborative and analytical individual who has strong business strategy and analytics background.

The Essentials
• Working towards an Undergraduate or Master's degree in the area of Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related fields.
• Ability to expand upon existing concepts and ideate on new solutions
• Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, etc.) to provide analytic insights to the business
• Review and improve existing dashboards and collaborate with teams to implement new dashboards
• Maintain documentation for data sources and dashboards
• Assist with collecting data from various sources
• Understanding of databases and knowledge of Python / R / SQL is a plus
• Ability to adapt and multi-task
• Passionate to apply the analytics tools & techniques to real business challenges.
• Strong presentation and communication skills. Able to clearly present your work and rationale to a variety of teammates and partners.
• Self-starter. Able to take initiative, produce results independently as well as part of a team.
• You are: a team player, curious, proactive, adaptable, collaborative, and empathetic (of fans and colleagues). Bonus points if you're sports fan!

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for full duration of the internship.
• Summer 2021 program dates are June 7th - August 13th; must be available for full program duration.
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week) designed to work around class schedule.
• Fully remote/virtual experience; company owned laptop provided for the duration of the internship program.
• Salary based on office location; relocation is not provided.
• This position is targeted towards upperclassmen and graduate students
