Virtual Reality Group Intern, Motion Pictures Group - Summer 2022

The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allows you to build your resume, experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, valuable networking opportunities, and many educational and social opportunities. This Summer Internship is from May/June through August and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday.

The Virtual Reality Group Intern will be an integral part of the Sony Pictures Virtual Reality team, getting hands-on experience with projects and new technologies while learning about growing the business of virtual reality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Researching VR market games and community engagements
• Gathering art assets for upcoming/current projects, events, partnerships and presentations
• Maintaining and running demos of virtual reality platforms and Sony Pictures VR games
• Playtesting and reviewing builds of upcoming projects
• Providing assistance with VR activations, managing flow
• Tracking new developments in VR content, developers, and hardware

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Tech and entertainment background preferred
• Experience in working in either the Entertainment or Tech industry
• Knowledge and interest in VR, AR, and emerging media/technologies
• Interest in interactive media and games
• Relevant coursework and or experience
• Enrollment in an accredited college/university for the duration of the internship is required
