Job Description
SPE INTERN:
Our Emerging Talent Programs, which includes Interns, Trainees, and Finance Rotational Associates, offer unique opportunities for students, recent graduates, and emerging talent to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allows you to build on your experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, and many educational and social networking opportunities.

This Summer Internship is from May/June through August 30th (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This position is ideal for a student enrolled in an accredited college or university. A hybrid work structure may or may not be available.

Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group's marketing department is responsible for leading large scale innovative marketing campaigns for both theatrical and home entertainment film releases. Our slate consists of a diverse array of films from labels such as Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures, Screen Gems, Sony Pictures Animation, and many more. This internship will be for the Domestic Media team within the marketing department. The Domestic Media team oversees all US/Canada paid advertising strategy, planning, and execution. This position will get exposure to a wide range of paid media channels such as Digital Video, Social, Television (Linear & Streaming), Radio, and Outdoor. In addition, the intern will be able to participate in the ideation of media promotions such as in-show integrations, co-branded partnerships, and custom digital programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Working on theatrical and home entertainment media plans
• Assisting in building pre-planning media briefs for upcoming film campaigns
• Creating presentation decks for internal and filmmaker meetings
• Creating and updating creative rotations documents
• Creative brainstorming and ideating of media stunts and partnerships
• Aid across multiple other facets of the team

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Undergrad student
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient math skills
• Attention to detail
• Proficient in Internet research
• Experience in a professional office environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Able to problem solve
• Self-motivated

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Microsoft PPT/Word/Excel proficient
• Creative & critical thinker
• Self-starter but also collaborative
• Passionate about movies and pop culture
• Heavy consumer of media & entertainment

The anticipated base salary for this position is $19/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
