Graphic Design Consumer Products Intern – Summer 2023

The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allows you to build your resume, experience and develop your skills further. This Summer Internship is from May/June through Sept. 1st (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Worldwide Consumer Products is the licensing and merchandising division for Sony Pictures Entertainment, Sony Pictures Television, and PlayStation North America. Our department sells licenses to manufacturers of soft and hard goods such as apparel, accessories, stationery, home décor, toys, collectibles, and video games.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as a graphic arts resource for the department
• Creative- Supporting various asset requests, retouches, style guide development (composed graphics, patterns, icons, packaging), trend research, and other miscellaneous graphic design requests
• Marketing- Creation of pitch materials for internal and external meetings and design collateral materials for sales purposes (PowerPoint templates, trade ads, etc.)
• Product Development- Assistance with various product development needs, including product mock-ups, packaging design, etc. Sample processing must be comfortable lifting boxes up to 30lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in progress or Bachelor's of Fine Art in progress (Ideally Junior or Senior level).
• Experience in graphic design (ability to share portfolio).
• Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote, and Microsoft Office proficiency.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• In addition to the above mandatory qualifications, the candidate should have an interest in licensing/merchandising creative (Graphics, toss patterns, icons, packaging, etc.)
• Experience with creating on-trend packaging, product

The anticipated base salary for this position is $17/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
