Job Description
SPE INTERN:

The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allows you to build your resume, experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, valuable networking opportunities, and many educational and social opportunities. This Summer Internship is from May/June through Sept. 1st (start and end dates are flexibile based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

The Intern, Strategic Initiatives & Partnerships will help support Sony Pictures Entertainment's development of strategic initiatives and partnerships across Latin America (including Brazil). The intern will have an opportunity to apply business and financial expertise to strategic initiatives for various SPE business, including digital media, media networks, home entertainment and TV distribution. The Intern is based in Miami and reports to the Director Strategic Initiatives & Partnerships, for Latin America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support in creation of insightful presentations, that effectively communicate recommendations, initiatives, and opportunities to senior management.
• Assist in financial and analytical modeling for evaluating the performance of key business
• Collaborate with other Sony departments, including Ad Sales, Acquisitions, Sales Planning, Marketing, Finance, Programming, Research, Production, and People & Organization to develop insights and optimize offerings.
• Stay knowledgeable about key trends and changes within the media landscape
• Support Sony's Latin American Digital Monetization business

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Hypotheses driven and comfortable with ambiguity.
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Fast learner and entertainment enthusiastic
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish), both written and spoken, preferred; Portuguese a plus.
• Fast learner and entertainment enthusiastic
• Extremely collaborative, team-oriented, and proactive.
• Relevant education or experience in finance, economics, and business

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Media and entertainment background is a plus
