The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allows you to build your resume, experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, valuable networking opportunities, and many educational and social opportunities. This Spring Internship is from January through May and all candidates must be able to work 10-29 hours, Monday through Friday.

The Sony Global Events Marketing team is responsible for the planning and execution of all Sony Pictures Entertainment & Sony Pictures Television events that fall under the Marketing and Distribution umbrella. We handle a wide range of projects that include both internal and client-facing, as well as external and consumer-facing events, as part of a strategic global campaign that highlights SPE's global content. Projects are dependent on events occurring throughout the year. Some events may be annual such as international and domestic conventions, conferences, markets, and retreats, while others may be title-driven such as premieres, screenings, dinners, receptions, junkets, and awards support.

• Supporting with the planning, coordination, and execution of upcoming SPE events
• Assisting with both logistic and creative aspects - this includes, but is not limited to budget tracking, venue selection, catering/menu selection, invitations & RSVP collection
• General research of venues, restaurants, vendors, event spaces, and activities across the wider Los Angeles area. This could also include researching specific areas in alternate domestic/international locations depending on the event
• Creation of event schedules, run-of-show documents, RSVP tracking, checklist & spreadsheet management
• Communicate with internal SPE departments when necessary to ensure that teams and executive offices have the most up-to-date information on upcoming events
• Book travel for domestic and international events, conventions, and conferences as necessary
• Assisting with the routing of contracts, payments, and approval forms
• Database maintenance and designated project management
• Tracking of the events calendar and ensuring that updates are made on a bi-weekly basis
• Keeping up with new and trendy restaurants/venues in the greater Los Angeles area
• Assist with the curation, purchasing, and distributing of approved client gifts
• Providing on-site event support as needed

• All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited degree program for the entire duration of their internship and must be available for the full 12-week session
• Ideally, we are looking for a candidate that is interested in pursuing a career in events and will treat this as an opportunity for growth and development in this line of work
• Organization and an eye for detail are vital. We are almost always planning multiple events simultaneously, so the ability to multi-task is crucial
• Professionalism and excellent communication skills play an integral role, both within the event department and when interacting with all vendors and SPE colleagues. This often includes the highest level of corporate executives here at Sony Pictures Entertainment

• Teams, Zoom, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive, MS Office 365 Suite
• Photoshop & InDesign (not necessary, but an added plus)
• Experience and/or understanding of the virtual and digital event spaces (i.e. new products & platforms, digital concepts, virtual opportunities, etc.)
