Facilities Workspace Solutions Intern – Spring 2024

This Spring Internship is from January through May (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work at least 10-29 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work structure may or may not be available.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Global Real Estate and Facilities, Workspace Solutions Team supports the Culver City studio lot and its population by maintaining the lot's buildings and infrastructure and providing office space and associated services (e.g., design services) for the company's business units. The department also manages and maintains off-lot properties, both locally and globally, designs, manages, and executes construction projects on the lot.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The department has launched an initiative to streamline our process and procedures. Intern will work closely with department and inter department staff, and the project's lead.

Tasks will include but are not limited to:
• Gathering information related to architectural project procedures, construction drawing standards, and building standards through interviews with various contributors.
• Compile and organize information to create an easy to reference workspace procedures and standards handbook.
• Review and gain feedback for any adjustment and finalize documentation.
• Create design presentation and architectural process document templates.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Autocad
• Adobe suite of programs
• Ability to read space plans and other architectural documents
• Presentation document experience

The anticipated base salary for this position is $19/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
