Information Development Intern

San Francisco, CA

Responsibilities:
• Work on critical path projects for consumer-oriented product packaging and manuals
• Support the team with partner reviews and provide editorial support on English content
• Research industry standards for content development and delivery as well as contribute dynamic ideas toward testing of consumer-focused instructional content
• Provide support in synthesizing testing feedback and planning meaningful steps to improve product usability
• Build and maintain internal content database and detail the database maintenance process
• Provide and contribute innovative ideas towards the departmental style guide
• Work with Japanese to English translator to set up internal translation tools

Qualifications:
• Pursuing a degree in technical communications and/or user design/experience and/or within 1 year of their post-graduation date
• Working experience and passion for technical writing
• Portfolio (online or print) of past or current writing projects
• Technical curiosity for consumer products
• Familiarity with industry standards such as the Microsoft Style Guide
• Japanese language skills a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication along with strong documentation and organizational skills
