Interns may be responsible for any relocation and/or housing expenses.

Join our team as a Youth & Community Engagement Intern, playing a vital role in our Social Responsibility department with a primary focus on youth basketball and community programs. You'll be responsible for coordinating and enhancing our youth basketball initiatives, including Courtside Class, Jr. Kings camps, clinics, and leagues. In addition to overseeing event logistics and player involvement, you will collaborate with schools and community partners. This dynamic role also involves supporting donation requests, the charitable ticket program, and community events. As part of our team, you'll contribute to the growth and impact of our social responsibility efforts during the 2023-2024 season and beyond.

Program Period: June - August 2024

Key Responsibility Areas: As the Youth & Community Engagement Intern, you'll be a problem-solving and execution champion. Your responsibilities will extend to game nights and other relevant events, encompassing the following:
• Research, schedule, plan, and execute all youth basketball programs and events.
• Manage and actively participate in in-arena youth basketball activities, including special fan experiences and group sales programs.
• Set up and break down the Jr. Kings kiosk during games.
• Efficiently manage youth basketball email correspondence.
• Support the preparation and distribution of Jr. Kings swag.
• Conduct research on best practices in youth sports.
• Maintain real-time inventory of youth basketball materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Monitor and track youth basketball Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for monthly and end-of-year impact reports.
• Be available to work game nights and weekends.

Qualifications:
• While an educational foundation in business administration, the sports industry, the nonprofit sector, or philanthropy is advantageous, we're primarily seeking individuals who are exceptionally smart, passionate, and hardworking.

To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
• Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
• Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
• Able to work 25 - 40 hours per week during the summer session

Interns will be compensated $16.00 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
