Interns may be responsible for any relocation and/or housing expenses.

As a Motion Designer Intern for the Sacramento Kings, you will play a vital role in supporting the production of various animated graphics, including In-Arena graphics, social media posts, and more. You will work closely with our creative team to ensure the seamless execution of visual elements across different platforms.

Program Period: June - August 2024

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the production of a wide variety of animated graphics, including In-Arena graphics, videos, social media posts, and other digital assets.
• Organize and maintain an efficient archive system for all project files.
• Design animated templates to fulfill video production requirements and enhance visual storytelling.

Qualifications:
• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects at a beginner to intermediate level.
• Fundamental understanding of design principles, including Typography, Color, and Layout.
• Awareness of current and past motion design trends to inform creative decisions.
• Strong 2D animation skills are expected, while proficiency in 3D animation is considered a plus.
• Strong portfolio showcasing motion design work and animation projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.

To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
• Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
• Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
• Able to work 25 - 40 hours per week during the summer session

Interns will be compensated $16.00 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
