Interns may be responsible for any relocation and/or housing expenses.

As an Accounting Intern, you will play an integral role in assisting with various accounting tasks, data entry and analysis, financial audit preparation, financial report generation, and other responsibilities that contribute to the overall efficiency of our business.

Program Period: June - August 2024

Key Responsibilities Areas:

In this dynamic role, you will actively contribute to our financial operations and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting. Your responsibilities will include:
• Daily reporting to assist in our cash flow projections and spend planning.
• Performing monthly reconciliation of accounts during our month end close process.
• Collaborating in the preparation of materials for our annual financial audits.
• Generating financial reports to aid in decision-making processes.
• Assisting with special projects that support our finance department goals.
• Undertaking any other tasks that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our business operations.

Qualifications:
• Current college student pursuing a four-year college program, ideally at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level. A major in Accounting, Sports Management, or a related field is preferable.
• Previous work experience in accounting is a valuable asset.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits, journal entries, and adjusting entries.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all financial tasks.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:
• Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
• Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
• Able to work 25 - 40 hours per week during the summer session

Interns will be compensated $16.00 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
