Spring 2023 Internship Program:

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:

Content Operations – On the Content Operations team, this intern will support Peacock's mission critical video publishing supply chain and quality assurance efforts; continuously monitoring program availability schedules, communication channels, and content servicing handoffs between key workstreams.

Content Quality Assurance (QA) – This intern will help us uphold quality assurance guidelines and control standards for all on demand video in our growing library. Your diligence in operational efficiencies will be immediately reflected on the platform, giving users a relaxed viewing experience that will help us continue to grow in the digital marketplace.

Metadata Quality Assurance (QA) – This intern will help us enforce our copywriting style guidelines and artwork specifications, taking part in projects focused on a wide breadth of content, from Peacock Original series to sporting events. With your proofreading and copyediting skills, you will ensure that all editorial video-related content meets all the standards set within Peacock.

Short Form Video – At Peacock, we are determined to forge the next frontier of streaming through creativity, teamwork, and talent. This intern will work to provision trailers that will appear on the product by helping to upload video files, gather metadata and thumbnails and publish through a multi-system pipeline.

TVE Solutions and Operations – The TVE editorial team is responsible for the editorial curation and programming of nbc.com and the NBC app, as well as programming the suite of NBCU Cable Entertainment network apps, including Bravo, SYFY, USA and others. The intern will gain experience in the workflows for publishing and curating editorial content across the various brand apps, as well as measuring content performance.

TVE Video Distribution & Content Ops – This operations-focused internship within Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) at NBC Entertainment is an opportunity to get hands-on experience across multiple essential operations for NBC.com and the One App product.

Video Editorial - Long Form – At Peacock, we are determined to forge the next frontier of streaming through creativity, teamwork, and talent. This intern will assist with content provisioning for Peacock including setup, delivery and auditing while providing quality control support of media assets with the Peacock Video Editorial team.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
• Must be working from a location within the United States during all hours worked.

Desired Characteristics:
• Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• For Content Operations: Basic knowledge of metadata related programming/markup languages, syntaxes and database management including, but not limited to: XML, JavaScript, JSON, SQL.
• For Content QA: Understanding of digital content QA and QC governance. Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (including Jira, Confluence, Airtable and/or Smartsheets). Familiarity with metadata related programming/markup languages and syntaxes (including XML, JSON).
• For Metadata QA: Must possess excellent grammar skills and familiarity with the AP Stylebook. Working knowledge of digital artwork deliverables (including key art, title treatment and episode thumbnails). Bilingual in Spanish a major plus.
• For Short Form Video: Experience using Adobe Premiere, Encoder, and Photoshop and Familiarity with content management systems (YouTube, Facebook, etc.) preferred. Basic understanding of digital video file formats, publishing workflows, and troubleshooting techniques.
• For Video Editorial - Long Form: Familiarity with content management systems (YouTube, Facebook, etc.) along with general understanding of digital data transfer methods.

Additional Requirements:
