Summer 2023 Internship Program:

• Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:
• Character Art
• Creation of illustrations and concepts for visualization
• Presentation and style guide development purposes
• Research and reference gathering of images and content as well as general art support across all our products
• Games Marketing
• Helping to drive the long-range product strategy, brand management and key marketing and community efforts across a portfolio of games and digital collectables based on Universal's top franchises
• Support the Games Marketing Team and Global Communications Team on day-to-day tasks and operations related to product branding, positioning, click-through testing, and Marketing/PR strategies against a portfolio of games with wide-ranging genres and platforms
• Concept Artist – Games and Digital
• Support team on all the Dream Works projects and NFT activations.
• Will get exposure to character development and license game products
• Support team on making several brand guidelines that are used across the organization
• Franchise Strategy and Operations
• Assist with competitor analysis, looking at insights, box office performance, TV ratings, consumer product offering and retail sales data
• Complete post-release recap documents following content releases
• Analyze data to identify gaps and opportunities across all core franchises
• Consumer Insights
• Assist in the analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data
• Aide in delivery of research, analytics, and insights that inform consumer targeting and engagement, content development and production, business and go-to-market strategies, and operational effectiveness
• Mine and track consumer, retail, and entertainment business trends

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA

Desired Characteristics:
• Students with class standing of junior or above preferred
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Solid project management skills
• Creative collaborator, skilled facilitator, and savvy
• Able to work independently and manage multiple high priority projects
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate
• Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Suites, and Keynote
• Specific for Character Art opportunity: Fluent in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator required. Have a broad understanding of character design and development. Strong understanding of anatomy and perspective.

Salary: $16.50 per hour

Salary Details
Salary: $16.50 Per Hour ($ USD)
