Intern - Community Engagement - Youth Engagement

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the coordination and execution of the Minnesota Twins Youth Engagement initiatives. These activities include: Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) Baseball and Softball, Twins Baseball Camps, Minnesota Twins Community Fund instructional clinics and events, and Major League Baseball programs.
• Manage sensitive data about youth participants.
• Support the Community Engagement department with game day activations, diversity and inclusion goals and events, special events, Twins Community Fund events, family relations and other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Education:
• Possess knowledge of the games of Baseball and Softball.
• Ability to instruct baseball and softball fundamentals at a basic and/or advanced level.
• Strong computer, writing and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about youth development and interest in community impact.
• Available to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to interact professionally with current players and alumni.
• Valid driver's license and comfortable driving in the Twin Cities metro area is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Able to lift 35 pounds.
Time Commitment: March 2024 - October 2024.
Hours: 40 hours/week.
Pay Rate: $17/hour; Relocation/Housing assistance available up to $2,500.
