Job Description
Overview
Summary Implement and follow strength & conditioning program as designed by Major League Strength and Conditioning Coach.

• Implement and follow strength & conditioning program as designed by Major League Strength and Conditioning Coach
• Conduct team stretches, warm-up, agility, lifting and running programs as directed by the Major League Strength and Condit ioning Specialist
• Observe and assist Major League Strength and Conditioning Specialist with workouts
• Report any problems/injuries to Major League Strength Coach/Athletic trainers
• Daily communication with Major League Strength and Conditioning and Athletic Training staff including but not limited to observations and conversations with players regarding player health and performance
• Give assisted, individual stretches per the direction of the Major League Strength and Conditioning Specialist
• Assist Major League Strength and Conditioning Specialist with team weigh-ins on time every 2 weeks
• Help with in-season assessments and player tracking including, but not limited to, readiness jumps, power assessments, and body weight and comp measurements.
• Maintain weight room, ensuring it is kept clean and organized
• Maintain inventory of supplements and equipment, including, but not limited to, packing the travel trunks prior to trips
• Support use of app based training platform, including pre and post work out questionnaires, tracking exercise modifications, reps/sets, as well as accurate account of weight used for key exercises
• Continuous evaluation of all players' physical development
• Motivate and educate players on the importance of strength and conditioning programs
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Ability to work all home baseball games including but not limited to pre and post-game stretch to ensure consistency of S&C programs .
• CSCS Preferred
Education and/or Experience
Candidates must be currently enrolled or recently completed a degree in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree or certification in a strength and conditioning related field
Computer Skills
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Spanish speaking preferred.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Hours
Work hours vary according to game schedule. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours if needed.
