PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE PROGRAMMER INTERN
What You'll Do
As a Programming Language Programming Intern at Epic Games, you will be working on the team at the center enabling the next generation of game developers. We are looking for someone with an interest in and love of programming languages and programming language implementation. In this role, you will be working on the implementation of the Verse programming language, which is a new programming language created by Epic and designed for coding game experiences at metaverse scale!
In this role, you will
• Work on the Verse compiler and tool chain
• Add features to the new and from-scratch Verse Virtual Machine
• Work at the intersection of Unreal Engine, UEFN, and Verse
What we're looking for
• Basic experience in compilers, tool chains, or programming language virtual machines
• Proficiency in C or C++
• Interested in good software programming principles
• Demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English (written and verbal)
This internship has a flexible start date in 2025. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
