ECOSEC PROGRAMMER INTERN
What You'll Do
We are looking for a Backend Engineer Intern to join the Ecosystem Security team supporting initiatives related to account security. As a part of the EcoSec team, you will be given a feature to own as part of our development cycle. You will work with your engineering lead to design and implement new functionality that improves account security for players across the Epic Games ecosystem.
In this role, you will
• Learn about various areas of security as it relates to the game industry - this internship will focus on account security, but you will have the opportunity to learn from experts in the fields of anticheat, fraud, content moderation, and more
• Collaborate with engineering and stakeholder teams across Epic to design and implement one or more new features in a Golang backend service to support our account security initiatives
• Depending on interest, projects that also require front-end development, data analysis, and/or machine learning can be supported
What we're looking for
• Experience with backend development, Golang experience preferred
• A desire to develop strong software development skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate within a team
• The ability to react and respond effectively to constructive feedback
• A flexible approach to development and willingness to apply out-of-the-box thinking and approaches to rapidly evolving software
• Nice to have: Experience or interest in front-end development, data analysis, and/or machine learning
This internship has a flexible start date in 2026. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
