Fall Remote Intern - UX Research

Responsibilities:

We're looking for a smart and ambitious researcher to support our small but mighty and growing research team. Our ideal candidate will work closely with Senior Designers, Product Managers, Researchers and Engineers to help more people enjoy Disney+.
On any given day you could be conducting ethnographic research, remote unmoderated research studies, synthesizing findings, crafting stories and narratives to convey insights in the best way, creating frameworks, collaborating in Design Thinking workshops, or interviewing stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:
• An inquisitive nature and eagerness to learn
• The ability to perform basic forms of research, such as ethnographic interviews or usability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Passion and knowledge for learning UX Research
• Working knowledge of research tools such as usertesting.com, userzoom, PlaybookUX, or similar remote research tools
• Basic understanding of Design Thinking
• Some training in basic design and research methods

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ethnographic research
• Usability Testing & Analysis

Required Education

Junior, Senior, Graduate Level student or recent graduate (within 18 months of graduation) pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design or Research Strategy, Psychology, Anthropology, Cognitive Science or related field.

Eligibility Requirements:

All students must possess unrestricted work authorization
• All students must be at least 18 years old
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program, OR
• Currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship, OR
• Must have graduated from a college/university within the past 18 months (instead of past 6 months)

Work Environment:
• This internship is a remote internship. The internship requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated work space.
