Our 2022 Full Season Internship Program is an 8-month program crafted to provide college students and recent graduates with a once in a lifetime opportunity within the sports and entertainment industry. As a Game Operations Intern, you will assist the Game Operations Manager in all facets of in arena and game night presentation.

What you'll be doing
• Prepare, Review and update game day scripts (rundown, PA Announcer; emcee host cards)
• Prep and Distribute game day Credentials and Parking Passes/Lists
• Responsible for prepping and ensuring movement of gameday Props between venues
• Responsible for Inventory Management (Props, Partner Items)
• Serve as Lead Stage Manager/Floor Director
• Execute entertainment elements (National Anthem & Halftime)
• Provide on-court guidance to Gameday Staff including Mascot, Hype Squad, and DJ
• Serve as on-court Liaison to Sales and CSR for all FEPs, Groups Sales Activations, Pre-Game Recognitions, On-Court activation etc.
• Create and place signage around arena on game days (e.g. Game Ops Tunnel/Storage, Media, Locker Rooms, Concourse)
• Potentially Serve as Back-Up Audio and/or Graphics Operator or Back-Up Mascot

What we're looking for

We are looking to bring on a college students entering their junior or senior year, or recently graduated college within the last six months , with a Sports Business (or similar degree) preferred. This individual should be currently living or have pre-arranged accommodations in or near the Detroit area, has access to reliable transportation, and has the flexibility to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior experience with event planning, event execution, and customer service is preferred. Overall, our Intern should be self motivated, organized, and detail oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast paced team environment, and strong work ethic is highly valued. Must be available for in-office work and all home games, events, and potential playoffs games.
