The Job
House of Highlights is a key part of the Bleacher Report/Turner Sports portfolio, representing one of the most influential media brands for the Gen-Z audience. With over 40 Million followers, HoH is the heartbeat of the Gen Z sports fan, who gravitate to the brand because of its authentic voice which remains celebratory, relatable and inclusive. Everything HoH does -- from the original content we create, to our collaborations with influencers and brands, to the viral clips we curate from across the world -- aligns with these 3 core brand pillars, and it has created a connection with fans that feels more like a close friend than an inaccessible brand or publisher.

The Daily
The tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Develop show/video ideas, executions, and production plans
• Assist with reporting so stakeholders have a real-time understanding of success/failure
• Discover and curate social content that aligns with the House of Highlight brand pillars and
engages with the Gen Z audience
• Provide and develop key insights to help improve content creation and social programming
• Conduct social listening and relay consumer feedback related to both linear and social stakeholders
• Consuming all HoH content and identifying opportunities for optimization, strategic
re-distribution, and other learnings
• Assist in refreshing HoH sales/brand materials, flagging needs for analytics updates,
imagery and case-studies as needed
• Exposure to all elements of the original content production cycle including talent
evaluation/negotiations/acquisition, location contracts, storyboards, set design,
scheduling, production calendars, producing, and editing
The Essentials
• Excellent verbal and written communication + problem solving skills
• Passion for new/emerging social trends, sports, and social+digital media
• Deep knowledge and passion across all social media platforms (particularly Instagram,
YouTube and TikTok)
• Ability to do baseline photo and video editing
• Real familiarity with HighlightHER brand, voice and mission
• Energetic and enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys working under pressure
• Some knowledge and understanding of Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and web publishing skills also a plus
• Sport focused work experience is not required, but candidates should demonstrate a basic understanding of sports and sports culture.
• Extensive knowledge of women's sports (WNBA, NWST, NCAA, etc)
• Proficiency with Google Sheets, Excel and Keynote is preferred
Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6- August 12; must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40hours/week) designed to work around class schedule
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
