Bally Sports Ohio and Bally Sports Great Lakes has one opening for Summer 2022 Intern!

Bally Sports is the nation's leading provider of local sports and owns & operates 21 regional networks including Bally Sports Ohio and Bally Sports Great Lakes. We serve as the TV home to more than half of all MLB, NHL and NBA teams based in the United States.

Bally Sports Ohio and Bally Sports Great Lakes are proud to produce live local professional telecasts for the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Guardians, Columbus Blue Jackets, Columbus Crew and more.

The selected intern will have the opportunity to gain live sports production experience and learn the operations of sport television through observational learning and hands-on training.

This internship is perfect for a student who has a passion for the world of sports TV and digital content and is preparing for an exciting career in sports production or media.

This paid internship opportunity is located in Cleveland, OH.

What to expect
• If you excel in an active, fast-moving environment and are interested in media and sports production, this position is perfect for you.
• You will get exposure to a variety of responsibilities, which might include creating video or graphic content, tracking team storylines and statistics, and posting to the networks' social media platforms.
• You will have the opportunity to network with producers, editors, marketing specialists and many others.

The ideal candidate will
• Have a background and interest in TV or digital content production, graphic design, social media, and/or journalism
• Help create video, graphics and other multimedia content
• Develop and work with digital and linear content teams on ideas for and execution of content (short-form video, longer-form video, graphics, etc.)
• Research stats, find player/team social media content, storylines, etc. for potential usage in content
• Write editorial and informational content
• Log video footage, soundbites, analysis from our teams and talent
• Post content to digital platforms using appropriate voice and editorial context

Requirements and Qualifications
• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop; Knowledge of After Effects
• Basic knowledge of shooting and video production with an eye toward digital production
• Competency with digital media including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
• Sound PR and news judgment with experience in an editorial setting
• Interest and some background knowledge on Ohio sports teams including the Blue Jackets, Cavaliers, Indians, Reds and Browns
• Understanding of (or willingness to learn more about) management systems for posting web and social content
• Must be attending an accredited college or university, or is a recent college graduate.
• Willing to work approximately 15 hours a week for 10 weeks, beginning in June 2022.
• There may be a variety in hours due to the professional sports programming schedules.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work from our Cleveland office.
