Summer Intern Florida (TPA)

Bally Sports Florida and Bally Sports Sun has one opening for Summer 2022 Intern based out of our Tampa office and studio!

Bally Sports is the nation's leading provider of local sports and owns & operates 21 regional networks including Bally Sports Florida and Bally Sports Sun. We serve as the TV home to more than half of all MLB, NHL and NBA teams based in the United States. Bally Sports Florida and Bally Sports Sun are proud to produce live local professional telecasts for the Miami Heat, Miami Marlins, Florida Panthers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Rays and the Orlando Magic. The selected intern will have the opportunity to gain live sports production experience and learn the operations of sport television through observational learning and hands-on training.

This internship is perfect for a student who has a passion for the world of sports TV and is preparing for an exciting career in sports production or media. This paid internship opportunity is located in Tampa, FL.

What to expect
• If you excel in an active, fast-moving environment and are interested in media and sports production, this position is perfect for you
• You will get exposure to a variety of responsibilities, which include hands on experience at live remote events, research and prep for live studio shows, and assisting with on camera ENG shoots and interviews for documentary productions
• You will have the opportunity to network with producers, directors, editors, and many others

The ideal candidate will
• Have a background and interest in live remote and studio TV production, and documentary show production
• Research stats, find player/team content, storylines, etc. for potential usage in live events
• Log video footage, soundbites, analysis from our teams and talent

Requirements and Qualifications
• Basic knowledge of shooting and video production
• Interest and some background knowledge on Florida sports teams including the Rays, Lightning and Magic
• Understanding of (or willingness to learn more about) studio and remote event production
• Must be attending an accredited college or university, or is a recent college graduate
• Willing to work approximately 20 hours a week for 10 weeks, beginning in June 2022
• There may be a variety in hours due to the professional sports programming schedules
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work from our Tampa office and the team arenas and stadiums
