Business & Legal Affairs Executive

Job Description

Endeavor seeks a talented and highly motivated lawyer to join its business and legal affairs team, supporting WME Sports' growing on-field representation business, primarily in football and coaching.

Responsibilities:
• Providing expert guidance on all matters related to the NFL CBA
• Providing NFL salary-cap and player-contract analysis for use by certified agents in negotiating player contracts, and developing and implementing systems to organize and retain this data
• Negotiating employment and other agreements for coaches, GMs and front-office staff
• Monitoring and managing regulatory matters, including athlete-agent registrations
• Acting as an entrepreneurial business partner and providing actionable guidance to agents
• Implementing and refining systems designed to optimize information- and document-management

Qualifications:
• Admitted attorney with 4+ years of transactional legal experience, ideally with 2+ years at a top law firm and some in-house experience at a sports team, union, agency or management company, or comparable experience within a law firm
• Passion for the football, and extensive knowledge the NFL CBA, player contracts and salary cap
• Experience with athlete endorsement contracts and state laws applicable to athlete agents a plus
• Outstanding analytical, negotiation and organizational skills, and exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with a range of personalities and styles in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Sound judgment, a curious mind, a strong work ethic, and a creative but practical and business-friendly approach to problem-solving
