Bentkey Ventures (The Daily Wire) is looking for a Post-Production manager to join our growing team!The Post-Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Bentkey teams of Editors, Animators, Illustrators, and IT professionals. The Post-Production Manager’s main objective will be to ensure that projects of these teams are managed as efficiently and effectively as possible from concept to completion and to ensure teams are functioning in the most healthy and optimal manner possible.If you feel you are the right fit for this position, we look forward to hearing from you!

Responsibilities:

· Manage and lead Editors, Colorists, Assistant Editors, Animators, and Illustrators

· Manage Post-Production projects from concept to completion

· Implement best practices, workflows, tools and templates to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the publishing process

· Act as liaison between Production and Post-Production

· Ensure department milestones and quotas are established and delivered successfully and provide course-correction to schedules when necessary

· Delegate projects to team members and ensure follow-through of designated projects

· Routinely deliver feedback to direct reports to ensure company’s and department’s high standards are met and to ensure team members are operating optimally

· Provide creative notes for Post-Production and maintain a consistent brand tone from inception to completion

· Keep projects synchronized between departments and facilitate communication between team members

· Manage the creation and implementation of assets from the Design department

· Oversee and supervise the quality control (QC) of edits and digital content

· Trouble-shoot as needed to ensure timely delivery of projects

· Mentor team and work to develop skill sets and collaboration abilities

· Manage administrative tasks including but not limited to monitoring overtime, reviewing/approving vacation requests, ensuring completion of daily project logs, etc.

· Provide timely schedules and budgets for projects from pre-production to delivery

· Manage accounts, software, and plug-ins that are utilized by the Post-Production teams such as news media clipping, Adobe plug-ins, and podcast publishing platforms

· Ensure that all department data and metrics are tracked and can be easily summarized on a daily basis in order to identify and address problem areas

· Work alongside Director of Production to establish best practices for the department for consistency and optimal operation

· Work with clients on an ongoing basis

· Ensure updates and needs are communicated to fellow department leaders via weekly Manager meetings

· Work with fellow department managers and leads to determine project-specific training needs and develop and implement a plan

· Work with Director of Production to ensure company vision is being maintained

· Assign deadlines to team and ensure deadlines assigned by management are met in a timely manner

· Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Requirements:

· At least 5+ years’ previous experience workingin media production

· Previous professional experience managing and leading a team of creatives

· Advanced knowledge of post-production processes, software, and workflows

· Strong instinct for creative and storytelling

· Ability to work under tight deadlines and sometimes stressful conditions

· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong organizational skills

· Strong time-management skills

· Excellent attention to detail

· Experience in project management that consists of many assets and a large amount of data that is routinely worked on by multiple team members at one time

· Understanding of audio/video delivery settings including but not limited to bitrate, codec, field order, resolution, and frame rate

· Experience with Creative Cloud including: Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere

· Understanding of professional illustration and animation including:

   - 2D, 3D, and especially 2.5D animation, After Effects

· Interest in and/or familiarity with the political and editorial news landscapes a plus

Reports to: Director of Production

Start date: Immediate

Employment type: Full-time; Exempt

Compensation: $65k-75k; Dependent upon experience
